Paige Bueckers has been dreaming about playing in the WNBA since she was a little girl in the Target Center stands watching the magic of Maya Moore.
But the extent of her aspirations was just making it to this level and playing among the best women’s basketball players in the world.
The star rookie said she came into her first season with the Dallas Wings, fresh off of helping snap Connecticut’s national championship drought, with “no expectations.”
For anyone who knows Bueckers, this mentality should come as no surprise. While some people are results oriented and seek individual accolades, Bueckers is focused on the process and incremental, day-to-day improvements.
