SANTA CLARA — Nvidia bought another Santa Clara property that is part of a huge block across the street from its headquarters, expanding its real estate holdings.
The tech company paid $4.5 million for a nondescript commercial site at 2740 Scott Blvd., according to documents filed on July 31 with the Santa Clara County Recorder’s Office. The sellers were family trusts associated with Scott Hutchinson, records show.

Since 2024, Nvidia has spent $751.5 million on an array of properties near and next to its headquarters at 2788 San Tomas Expressway.
With fewer than a handful of exceptions, Nvidia now owns all of a block that’s bounded by San Tomas Expressway, Central Expressway, Scott Boulevard and Walsh Avenue.
Parcels next to the site Nvidia recently purchased are owned by individuals or trusts that they control.
A property at 2806 Scott Blvd. is owned by Richard Fisher. A site at 2750 Scott Blvd. is owned by Alice Gonsalves and Rosalie Kearsely, according to documents posted with a Santa Clara County property database.
Over the 12 months that ended on April 27, Nvidia posted a profit of $76.77 billion on revenue of $148.52 billion, according to Finance Charts.
Profits have bolstered the company’s hiring, as sketched out in the company’s filings posted at the Securities and Exchange Commission.
In January, Nvidia employed 36,000 people in 38 countries. That was 21.6% more employees than in January 2024, when Nvidia employed 29,600 people in 36 countries, SEC filings show.
