Raul Dominguez is in the Yankees organization and not the Mets, so he has no say in the handling of Jonah Tong.
But after watching the Mets’ prized pitching prospect dominate his team Tuesday for a second time this season, Dominguez was ready to promote him a few levels.
“For me,” the Double-A Somerset manager said Thursday, “he’s a big league pitcher.”
What Tong has been is the best pitcher in the entire minor leagues.
