The Knicks’ coaching staff under Mike Brown is continuing to take shape.
Chris Jent, who mostly recently worked as an assistant with the Hornets, is “finalizing” a deal to become the Knicks’ associate head coach, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

It will allow Jent to return to the franchise where he spent a season as a player during the 1996-97 season.
Jent took his first NBA coaching job as an assistant for the 76ers during the 2003-04 season.
He also worked for the Magic, Cavaliers, Kings, Hawks, Lakers and Ohio State Buckeyes.
Last year marked his first season in Charlotte.
