Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart is looking for a place to call home after signing a four-year, $17 million fully guaranteed contract with Big Blue.
The 22-year-old Ole Miss product, who was the 25th overall pick in this year’s draft, took Overtime along for the ride as he toured homes and apartments in New York City and neighboring New Jersey recently.
“I’ve got to figure out where I’m going to live,” Dart said in a video posted to YouTube. “I’m thinking more of a penthouse look, but I’m also just open to finding the best spot, whatever feels like home to me.”
Dart toured a nearly $4 million home in Short Hills, N.J., which included a two-person jacuzzi and a black kitchen.
“Quite honestly, I’m just going to have my mom help me [furnish the house],” he added.
Dart took a break and picked up Giants tight end Theo Johnson for a shopping trip at two:minds — before he got his hands dirty in the kitchen at Joe’s Pizza. The quarterback was seen mingling with young fans and making a pepperoni pizza.
The next stop on his tour: Jersey City, N.J.
Dart toured a penthouse — priced at $3,440,000 — that included floor-to-ceiling windows and a 700 square foot private deck
“The suburbs’ really not kind of my thing right now,” Dart said. “‘Gonna have something that’s closer to the water, better view of the city, easier access, so I’m excited to see what it’s about.”
Dart then toured the building’s common area on the 34th floor and inquired if he could purchase it.
“I wanna turn this into my house,” Dart said. “Give me a range.”
The sales consultant replied, “I would say you’re looking at over $10 [million] for this space.”
Dart joked, “You watch when I buy this.”
Elsewhere in the video, Dart explained that he isn’t feeling any pressure heading into his rookie season.
“I don’t feel like there is anything too crazy on my back,” he said. “I haven’t even really thought about anything else rather than just trying to learn my playbook and make the relationships with the guys on the team.”
Giants head coach Brian Daboll wasted no time naming Russell Wilson their QB1 after the veteran Super Bowl champ signed a one-year deal in March.
“These guys will be out here competing, but Russ is our starter,” Daboll said last month on day one of Giants training camp.
The Giants signed veteran Jameis Winston to a two-year, $8 million deal in March.
Tommy DeVito, who began his NFL career on the Giants’ practice squad after going undrafted in 2023, is also on the depth chart.
Dart showed flashes of potential in the first preseason game against the Bills on Saturday.
He went 12-for-19 with 154 yards and a dazzling touchdown pass in the 34-25 win.
The Giants play the Jets on Aug. 16, before closing out the preseason against the Patriots Aug. 21 at home.
Big Blue opens the 2025 campaign on Sept. 7 on the road against the Commanders.
