A Hawaii man is in critical condition after a raging lunatic allegedly hurled acid in his face, sparking a manhunt for the deranged suspect who remains at large.

The 30-year-old victim was crossing the street in Honolulu’s Chinatown Friday night when a do-rag-wearing stranger lobbed the chemical liquid at him, according to the Honolulu Police Department.

“Right now, detectives are canvassing the scene to recover any surveillance video and locate any additional witnesses.”

Fire officials confirmed the toxic substance was sulfuric acid — a highly corrosive chemical that can cause life-threatening burns.

The maniacal, six-foot-tall suspect was last spotted in a fitted blue shirt with a camera dangling from his neck and a red bottle in hand, police said.

A motive remains unclear as the investigation continues.
