Two years after Bed Bath & Beyond shut its doors, the name is back on a Nashville store.
The new business, Bed Bath & Beyond Home, will open Friday, Aug. 8, said an announcement from parent company Brand House Collective.
It has said it’s planning to open about 80 more stores under that name through next year, mostly by converting existing Kirkland’s Home stores. It has not announced other locations. Kirkland’s has three Bay Area stores, at outlet malls in Gilroy, Livermore and Vacaville.
After filing for Chapter 11 protection in 2023, Bed Bath & Beyond closed all its physical locations.
Overstock.com bought the name, then rebranded as Beyond and began selling household goods online and through an app. It subsequently partnered with Kirkland’s, which has dozens of home stores, most in the eastern United States. The Kirkland’s corporation took the name Brand House Collective last month as it prepared to launch the BB&B plan.
The announcement of the Nashville store said the brand will bring back “one of its most iconic traditions, the beloved Bed Bath & Beyond coupon,” and will honor “legacy coupons” at the new store. The chain was known for its prolific distribution of coupons good for 20% off one item.
